TEHRAN – The Assembly of Experts issued a statement on Tuesday urging the three branches of the government to take practical measures to improve the public’s economic status, IRIB news reported.

In the statement, the body called on the Rouhani administration to abide by the principles of the resistance economy as outlined by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to secure the people’s livelihood.

It also urged the Judiciary to step up the fight against corruption and embezzlement, “as it is no longer tolerable for the people to hear about massive embezzlements and escape of plunderers.”
