TEHRAN – In a speech late on Monday, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani described Washington’s new sanctions against Tehran as an opportunity which can help “an internal renovation of the country’s economy”.

Pointing to the re-introduction of U.S. economic sanctions on Iran, he said in such a difficult situation, the country needs investment in order to boost resistance against economic pressure, Tasnim reported.

The parliament speaker further emphasized that the current situation is best for exports.

The situation is not just “bitter”, rather it creates the grounds for an economic boom, about which the people should be informed, he stated.
