TEHRAN – The Noir Art Group from Iran and Pudding Théâtre from France will hold a workshop during a joint project in the northwestern Iranian city of Marivan.

The project entitled “City Language” will begin on August 23 as part of programs for the Marivan International Street Theater Festival, Iran’s Center for Dramatic Arts has announced in a press release published on Friday.
The Iranian group led by Mina Bozorgmehr and Hadi Kamali-Moqaddam and Pudding Théâtre under the leadership of Christophe Châtelain and Sylvie Faivre will also hold a meeting with theater masters and participants after the workshop.

The participants are scheduled to give a public performance during the festival opening on September 1 and running until September 5.

Pudding Théâtre was established in 1999. Châtelain and Faivre have been creating large-scale collective productions for thousands of viewers, with the aim of giving meaning to places and creating a theater with a community focus that questions societal issues.

The Noir Art Group based in Tehran began its activities in 2006 by organizing site specific projects, urban performances, videos performances and making documentary films.
