TEHRAN – The director of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization has installed Mohammad Khayatian as his deputy for tourism affairs, ILNA reported.

Khayatian replaced Morteza Rahmani-Movahhed who assumed the position in August 2017.

Earlier this month, CHHTO Director Ali Asghar Mounesan, who doubles as vice president, said the number of international tourists visiting Iran surged 45 percent in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 21) from a year earlier.
