TEHRAN – Former Persepolis and Saipa defender Ebrahim Shakouri has been named as new Acting Secretary General of the Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) on Thursday.

Shakouri replaced Mohammad Reza Saket who left his position according to the law barring the employment of retirees in government, state or public institutions which use state funds or facilities.

Shakouri was working as the FFIRI Deputy General Secretary.
