TEHRAN – Pakistan’s embassy in Tehran has called on the Iranian government to play an active role in resolving Islamabad’s tension with New Delhi and help find a peaceful solution to the conflict.

“Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Tehran would like to urge the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to play an active role in de-escalating tensions and promoting a peaceful resolution of the issue,” according to a statement from the embassy released on Friday.

The embassy’s statement also criticized the approach of the Indian media toward the Pulwama incident on 14 February 2019 in Jammu and Kashmir.
