34 Military Attaches Appointed in Foreign Countries

TEHRAN In line with the Islamic Republic of Iran's detene policy, 34 military attaches have been appointed in several countries and more will hopefully be appointed in the near future, said the army's top commander Major General Mohammad Salimi to a gathering of military attaches residing in Tehran on Thursday.
Salimi stressed longlasting peace in the Middle East was only possible through securing the rights of the Palestinian people without interference by foreign powers and added promotion of military ties between the regional countries was conducive to achieving that peace.
He said the Iraqi imposed war was an occasion that expose the weakness of the Iranian Army and added, today, Iran's well trained and equipped army was comparable to that of the world's strongest countries.
He said Iranian Army is characterized as being under the supervision of the religious jurisprudent and follows the animating Islamic principles and that he said made it unique in the world. Salimi referred to the Army's technological achievements and cited Zolfaqar Tank and Boraq personnel career as examples.
