TEHRAN The United States is interfering in Iran's affairs only to tarnish Iranian independent forces.
Head of Caspian Sea Studies Institute, Abbas Maleki, said the U.S. intervention in the affairs of Iran is to the disadvantage of all Iranians who are having political or social activities.
He said, "If the U.S. is against any group, it will put obstacles in its way and if it is in favor of another group, people will distrust it.
However, he said the U.S. has planned a pre-designed program for Iran and will gradually carry out the plan. He condemned U.S. interference in Iran's affairs.
On Iran's complaint against the U.S. about the 1953 coup d'etat, Maleki said the issue should be pursued more decisively this year due to three reasons. He said the first reason is the obvious confession of U.S. Secretary of State Madeline Albright to the involvement of the U.S. in the coup. "The second reason is the release of a 200-paged documents of a CIA mission to Iran which cleared all about CIA's involvement in the coup.
And, he said, the last reason was the information given by the Head of CIA's branch in Iran before his death about the coup.
He added that the coup was the first successful CIA plan to topple a government in a country.
