TEHRAN The news aired in Azerbaijan Republic on the recent visit of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, to Ardebil Province and his speeches delivered to local people were widely welcomed by the Azeri people, said an official yesterday. Governor General of Ardebil Province, Seyed Hamid Tahaei, added that a large number of Azeri people called on Iranian officials to receive the tapes of the Leader's speeches made in the Azeri language.
Tahaei quoted Azeri people as saying that the Leader's remarks were disseminated in the world just as the story of the Iranian missile Shahab 3.
