Memories of Mahmudreza Beyzaei in “You Won't End Up a Martyr”

The book “You Won't End Up a Martyr” is about the memories of Mahmudreza Beyzaei which is written by his brother, Ahmadreza Beyzaei.

For the answer to the question of whether the book was written before or after his martyrdom, Ahmadreza Beyzaei said: I know it is odd, but I started writing his memories before his martyrdom.

“For a brother to wait for his brother's martyrdom might not make sense logically. However, I was aware of the types of missions he undertook from the start of the Syrian War, and based on our conversations, I sometimes felt that the likelihood of his return was zero,” he added.

No one except Ahmadreza knew of his brother's presence in Syria, according to Ahmadreza, so when this happened, it was like a bomb went off and their family had a major shock.

Ahmadreza Beyzaei addressed his biggest concern by stating that he has always wanted to use social media as a tool to talk about soldiers and heroes like his brother so that their names would not be forgotten in history.

“The initial idea to publish these memories as a book came from Mr. Ruhollah Rashidi. Of course, I demanded that these recollections not be made into a book, and I had a good reason for doing so—I had specifically written these memories for the audiences on social media,” he said.

He continued by saying that the book was written using the same language that he used to talk to the audience on social media.

Being Mahmoudreza's brother, Beyzaei claimed that when he decided to write the book, he only wrote about the events that he personally knew about, either because he was present or because he learned about them in some other way.
