Asharq' Continues Baseless Allegations Against Iran, Responsible Officials Should Counter

TEHRAN Following certain goals, some foreign news media make baseless allegations against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and to this effect they even resort to antirevolutionary elements and their unfounded claims against Iran.
The Saudi-owned Arab daily Asharq al-Awsat, based in London, claimed on Tuesday that a secret organization in Iran, comprising conservative clerics and the former officials at security services, track the reformist journalists in the country.
Quoting an unnamed informed source close to reformists, the daily also claimed that former head of Security Department of Leader's Office Hojjatoleslam Mirhejazi heads the so-called secret organization.
It said that by tracking and arresting the journalists, the organization is to put an end to publication of all the pro- Khordad 2 papers.
It is said that an Iranian antirevolutionary Alireza Nourizadeh, who is known as a spy for Britain and the Zionist intelligence agency, Mossad, has made the false claim.
Nourizadeh has been a good informed source for certain foreign news circles, and because of his antirevolutionary stance they have given vast coverage to his views.
However, Asharq al-Awsat has time and again made such unfounded charges, some of which have been dismissed by Iranian officials. Last week it claimed that the Leader has appointed the Judiciary Chief Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi as his successor, but it did not notice that in the Islamic Republic Leader is appointed by the Experts Assembly.
The Iranian diplomats abroad should adopt immediate measure to counter these baseless propaganda against the Islamic Republic.
The Iranian diplomats are currently at home for an annual seminar.
They met various authorities of the Islamic Republic, including Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei who gave a series of guidelines to them.
One of the most important guidelines is to promote Islam in the world in its true shape. The fact is that Islam has been oppressed by some, including Muslims also such as the Taleban.
What Ayatollah Khamenei meant by promoting Islam in the world is to present facts of not only the Islamic Republic but also the Islamic world as a whole.
The diplomats based abroad and the Iranian government should not waste a moment to counter such propaganda of the enemies of Islam.
