TABRIZ, East Azarbaijan Province -- Over 50 scientific and cultural personalities as well as Iranologists from 10 world countries are currently in Tabriz to participate in an international book exhibition which opened on October 10.
An official in charge of foreign guests affairs at the exhibition Mahdi Hemmati said here on Sunday that the foreign guests are from Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Nakhichevan, Russia, Armenia and Afghanistan.
The geographical location of the province, as well as its cultural and historical background, have also enticed several writers and poets from regional countries to come over the past few days to visit the exhibition, he added.
A pavilion has been allocated to books on the literature of various foreign countries and to display the literary works of their famous writers, Hemmati said.
The exhibition will last until Wednesday, October 18.
