Iran, Greece to Work Together to Eradicate Drugs Traffic

ATHENS -- Deputy Commander of the Iranian Law Enforcement Forces (LEF) Brigadier General Ansari in a meeting Thursday with the Greek Deputy Police Chief Field Marshal Yourgious Plokas explored effective ways of Iran-Greece cooperation in the fight against the international illicit drug trafficking.
Brigadier Ansari arrived in Greece at the head of a high ranking delegation to take part in the 69th session of the International Police Organization (Interpol).
He elaborated on the exhaustive efforts carried out by the Iranian LEF to curb the illicit traffic in the narcotics and voiced Iran's police readiness for cooperation with Greek police in the domain of the anti-drug campaign.
The Greek police chief explained the activities undertaken by forces under his command in countering the illicit drug trafficking.
He said he would visit Iran soon for talks on the Irano-Greek operation on fight against illicit drugs.
The 69th session of Interpol opened in the presence of more than 700 representatives from 160 countries in the island of Roudes on the Aegean Sea.
