Service or Disservice?

TEHRAN In a dispatch on President Khatami's speech at the OIC Summit, Doha, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) attributed the plan announced by President Khatami on peace in the Middle East to the president terming it as Khatami's peace plan.
In fact Khatami himself announced at the summit that the plan was initiated by the Leader of the Islamic Republic Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, but IRNA attributed the plan to the president.
Such moves show that certain people in Iran try to get promotion or remain in power by using the culture of flattery. Although they label others as sycophants, they seem to be themselves sycophants.
Such moves do not render any service to the nation, on the contrary they are a disservice to the nation.
