NEU-ISENBURG, Germany Not only are fruits, vegetables and foodstuffs all rich in essential fatty acids good which are good for the body, but they can put people in a positive mood as well.
Germany's medical journal Aerzte Zeitung has published details of research carried out by British nutritional therapist Amanda Geary, who claims foods such as tuna, salmon, pumpkin and walnuts are ideal pick-me-ups.
Geary has put together a meal she says will give diners a boost unrivaled even by chocolate, a known mood improver.
The therapist's menu consists of an oily fish, such as a sardine, plus a green salad, avocado and pumpkin seeds, topped off by steamed fruit mixed with dried apricots, bananas and walnuts.
