 Seminar on Privatization Outlook in Iran

Organized by

Iranian Privatization Organization 

The Financial Organization to Expand Ownership of Manufacturing Units, considered as a privatizing organization in the act of the Third Social, Economic and Cultural Development Plan of the Islamic Republic of Iran, intends to hold the Seminar on Privatization Outlook in Iran on January 15-16, 2001 at Zakariya Razi Amphitheater of Tehran. 

The schedule of the seminar will be the following: 

Day 1: Welcome reception hosted by seminar secretary (plenary), members of the Supreme Board of Privatization, roundtable on "Studying Ways of Supporting Private Investment in Iran" and another roundtable on "Prerequisites for Privatization, Legal Constitution and Its Problems"

Day 2: (Special for experts, specialists and commissioners of privatization with a capacity of at most 75 people) Plenary session with all workshops participants, organization of privatization in the Eastern and Western European experiences, and studying performance of privatization in the Islamic Republic of Iran. 

This seminar is to be held in active cooperation with the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH which has been the privatization consultant in eastern Germany. 

The seminar will award theses of MS and Ph.D. degrees written on privatization as selected by the jury. Therefore, the interested people are asked to submit abstract of theses on privatization latest by December 15, 2000 to the secretariat of the seminar. 

Meanwhile, people willing to participate in the seminar are requested to fill out the following form and forward it to the secretariat of the seminar no later than December 15, 2000.
