YASOUJ, Kohkilouyeh-Boyerahmad -- A senior official at the Commerce Ministry said here Sunday night that there is no other alternative for the Iranian economy except to boost non-oil exports by making investment in the sector.
Deputy Commerce Minister for Research Affairs Mohammad Nahavandian who was speaking to a gathering of provincial directors, said that the issue of employment is not an obstacle facing the Iranian society only but affecting the entire globe, even the industrialized countries.
He said according to statistics released by international banks, a phenomenon has been shaped in the industrial world that is dubbed as the non-industrialization trend wherein over 60 percent of the employment in industrialized countries is being made in the services sector.
He said that industries in those countries that are mostly costly states will fly toward inexpensive countries and the former will become engaged in offering generative services.
Most of the developments in the past two decades have been made not in the industry sector but in the services sector, including the software, telecommunications and electronic trade, Nahavandian said.
He further remarked that a glance at the economic performance of densely populated countries such as China and India shows that the most dynamic sector in generating job opportunities is the modern services sector.
Stressing that trade, investment and tourism are the three sides of the triangle of economy, Nahavandian said Kohkilouyeh-Boyerahmad Province is both rich in tourist attractions and can gain outstanding achievements in the field of trade once its customs office and airport become further activated.
