Shane Warne Spins Victoria to Victory
Warne captured five for 49 to spin Victoria to a 77-run win over western Australia in Perth just hours after he was included in the Australian one-day team for the triangular limited-overs series with West Indies and Zimbabwe.
Playing his first first-class match since breaking his finger in October, Warne single-handedly turned the match Victoria's way after the visitors were dismissed for 239, leaving western Australia chasing 259 for victory.
The home team looked to be heading toward a comfortable win when they raced to 108-2 before leg-spinner Warne ran through the batting order with five wickets.
South Australian Captain Darren Lehmann was also celebrating his recall to the national team during his team's match with New South Wales in Adelaide.
Lehmann, who hit the winning runs for Australia in the 1999 World Cup final, set New South Wales 401 to win after declaring his team's second innings at 237-5.
NSW, who were dismissed for 265 in their first innings, were 45-1 at stumps, needing 456 heading into the final day.
