Allan Houston, New Kork's other shooting guard, added 17 points.
Tim Duncan had 28 points and 10 rebounds for the Spurs.
In Milwaukee, Cliff Robinson, Jason Kidd and Rodney Rogers combined for 23 points in the final period as the Phoenix Suns rallied for a 104-96 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Robinson and Kidd scored eight points apiece while Rogers, the reigning NBA sixth man of the year, netted the first seven points of the fourth quarter, when Phoenix outscored Milwaukee, 28-13.
Taking advantage of the Bucks' poor perimeter defense, the Suns hit 11-of-18 3-pointers.
Robinson scored 35 points and Rogers added 25.
Glenn Robinson scored 26 points and Ray Allen 14 for the Bucks, who lost for just the second time in their last seven games.
In Minneapolis, Terrell Brandon had 24 points and 12 assists and fueled a pair of runs as the Minnesota Timberwolves handed the woeful Washington Wizards their sixth straight loss, 105-88.
Brandon collected his first double-double of the season. Brandon made 9-of-14 shots and appeared fully recovered from the sprained ankle that sidelined him for four games earlier this season.
Kevin Garnett also scored 24 points for the Wolves.
Richard Hamilton scored 22 points off the bench for the Wizards.
In Orlando, the Orlando Magic learned that all-star forward Grant Hill will be out a little longer, but Tracy McGrady seems to have no problem playing the role of the no. 1 option.
McGrady scored 10 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter, when the Magic pulled away for their fourth straight win, a 103-93 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
McGrady made 15-of-31 shots.
Rookie Mike Miller again provided a spark off the bench for Orlando, scoring 19 points in 27 minutes.
Hill, who played just the first two games of the season before reinjuring his ankle that was operated on in May, practiced with team Wednesday and is scheduled to return on Monday.
In Salt Lake City, Bryon Russell scored 18 of his 20 points in the second half and the Utah Jazz continued their domination of the Vancouver Grizzlies with a 98-87 victory.
Russell scored 10 points in the third quarter and eight more in the fourth period as the Jazz broke open a close contest and won for the eighth time in nine games.
Karl Malone scored 18 points and John Stockton added 13 and 13 assists for Utah, which improved to 15-4 and moved past the Philadelphia 76ers for the best record in the NBA.
The Jazz are 19-1 all-time against the Grizzlies, who dropped the first 17 in the all-time series until a stunning win here on January 26, 2000.
Shareef Abdur-Rahim scored 21 points and Mike Bibby added 18 for the Grizzlies.
