TEHRAN -- The Iranian film ****Children of Heaven**** by the renowned director Majid Majidi was broadcast by the Japanese National TV on Sunday.

The film, which was broadcast in the Persian language with a Japanese subtitle, had previously been screened at several Japanese cinemas.

The Japanese NHK TV network broadcast the film ****Taste of Cherry**** by director Abbas Kiarostami last month.

Anther Iranian film ****Silence**** by Mohsen Makhmalbaf is currently being screened at Tokyo's Society Shiboya Cinema.

The inclination for the Iranian films has considerably increased in Japan for the past three years.
