SINGAPORE A Singapore girl is considered the youngest in the world to be admitted to MENSA, a London-based society for those with high IQs, a report said recently. Celestine Grace Cai became a member when she was only three years and 10 months old, the ****Straits Times**** said. "I certainly do not know of anyone who has been admitted to MENSA at an earlier age," Edward Vincent, MENSA executive director, was quoted as saying. The child, born in 1994 and now a primary school pupil, underwent tests designed to measure logical and analytical ability, including the international performance scale with a maximum IQ rating of 158. Her rating went off the scale, the report said. Her parents, general practitioner George Chua and housewife Christina, said they do not consider their daughter to be the brainiest in the city-state. Their son, Camillus, became a MENSA member at the age of 5. (DPA)
