Over 2000 Kurdish Students Enter Higher Education Centers

TEHRAN The Education Department of Kurdestan Province in a special ceremony on Saturday honored more than 2000 students who entered universities and higher education centers in the current Iranian academic year.
In this ceremony, attended by a group of Kurdestan's educational officials and cultural figures, the Governor General of the Province, Abdollah Ramezanzadeh, emphasized that students are the architects of Iran's future.
He underlined that the main factor in the social development of a society is the level of scientific education and awareness of its youth.
Meanwhile, the General Director of the Education Department of the province, Farouq Davoudnejad, informed the participants that some 25,377 students took part in the higher education entrance exam this year.
Davoudnejad concluded that some 2,473 people from Kurdestan Province entered universities and higher education centers last year.
