HANOI -- Vietnam's communist regime Tuesday slammed as "unacceptable" the U.S. State Department report on the human rights situation in Vietnam and described it as an interference in the country's internal affairs. "It amounts to an interference in the internal affairs of other countries and is totally unacceptable," the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Phan Thuy Thanh said in a statement as carried by AFP. "The report includes comments lacking in objectivity, running counter to what is going on in our country now and has caused unhappiness among the Vietnamese people," she said.
