TEHRAN Iranian police have killed three Afghan bandits during clashes in a northeastern province on the border with Afghanistan, IRNA reported on Friday.

Police in Khorasan Province told IRNA the clashes occurred on Thursday in remote mountainous areas.

On Monday, government forces killed four Afghan bandits, including a notorious drug lord, in another part of the province which is a main route for drugs from Afghanistan and Pakistan to Europe.
