SOFIA A 50-year-old Bulgarian woman cannot appear in court to answer fraud charges because she weighs over 200 kilograms (440 pounds) and therefore cannot get out of her seventh-floor apartment, prosecutors said Tuesday, according to AFP. Police called to arrest Sevdalina Alexandrova admitted they could not get her out of her three-room flat in the northern town of Russe, where she has been bed-bound for years. Alexandrova is accused of having received some 5,400 euros (4,800 dollars) from three families promising to use her connections at the town hall to help them buy an apartment on the cheap.
