TEHRAN In order to support Lebanon's economy, the Islamic Republic of Iran intends to deposit money in the Lebanon Central Bank, said an official yesterday.

Addressing the cabinet, the Lebanese Minister of Economy and Trade, Basil Flayhan, submitted the results of his visit to Iran, saying that Iranian authorities have agreed with the Lebanese prime minister's proposal to deposit money in the Lebanese bank.

The economy minister did not mention how much money would be deposited. Qatar and Saudi Arabia had already agreed to deposit funds in the Central Bank of Lebanon.

Flayhan paid a three-day visit to Iran last week.
