BUENOS AIRES, Argentina Argentine Economy Minister Domingo Cavallo lauded on Thursday the "overwhelming" support in Congress's Lower House to add the euro alongside the dollar in the peso's decade-old currency peg system, Reuters reported.

Saying the government was making progress in ending nearly three years of stagnation in Latin America's third largest economy, Cavallo said economic targets from a revised program with the international monetary fund would be released soon.
