Exhibition of 'Tehran's Three-Millenium Civilization' Inaugurates in Iran's National Museum
In the exhibition, the discovered earthenware, found in Tehran's archaeological excavations of the years, 1968-69 will be exhibited for the public.
As the experts believe, these earthenware, are the signs of the zenith of pottery art in Tehran in iron era.
These earthenware were found by the board of excavators of the Iran's Center of Archaeology in late 60s in the yard of a great cemetery near Qeytarieh.
In the excavations 350 ancient graves were found, non of which were made of stone and a lot of ancient dishes such as earthenware, iron dishes and stony dishes were discovered from these graves.
Earthenware such as cups, plates, mugs, and ironwares such as arrows, knives. necklaces, bracelets and stoneware were among the discovered things of the excavations in the cemetery.
