Why Can't Animals Talk?
May 13, 2001 - 0:0
Animals do talk, they just use different ''languages'' than people do. Birds sing, dogs bark, cats meow. Think of any animal you like, and it has some means of communicating with other members of its species. Certainly dogs and cats also understand some human language. Chimpanzees have been taught sign language, and gorillas have learned with symbols. These and other animals don't ''talk'' with the same kind of voice you have because they don't have the same kind of voice box, or larynx.
