TEHRAN A representative of the Islamic Books & Art Gallery of Canada visiting the 14th Tehran International Book Fair called for further cooperation between Iranian publishers and his Toronto-based gallery in a bid to introduce the late Imam Khomeini to the world and disseminate his thoughts.

Musa Reza, who inspected the stand of the Institute for Publication and Compilation of the Imam's Works, said that the Islamic Books & Art Gallery of Canada makes relentless efforts to introduce the Prophet's infallible household (S)

to Iranians residing in Canada and to familiarize non-Muslims with Islamic principles and great religious figures.

He said that the gallery holds religious conferences and presents books with religious and moral themes to Muslims in Canada.

Musa Reza who has lived in Canada for 25 years, in an interview with IRNA said that the main goal of the gallery is to strengthen unity among Muslims and introduce Islam to non-Muslims.

He said that Muslims, particularly Shi'as in Canada, know the late Imam Khomeini, saying that Muslims bear a heavy responsibility and should make relentless efforts to introduce non-Muslims to Islam.

Reza added that the Canada-based gallery gathers remarkable books from different countries and sells them at low prices. He said that some 500,000 Muslims are residing in Toronto.

He said that 60 percent of Toronto's Muslim residents are Shi'a, and that there is no Islamic library in this city. He added that Islamic books are very expensive in Canada and that a volume of Nahj-ul-Balagheh costs 25 Canadian dollars in Toronto.

Touching on the importance of the late Imam Khomeini's will, Reza said that the will conveys a powerful message to the world.
