TEHRAN The Public Relations Department of the Tehran Revolutionary Courts, in a letter to the TEHRAN TIMES, said that the imminent release of some detainees that was quoted from an informed source has been denied by the Head of the Tehran Revolutionary Courts, Morteza Mobasheri.

The letter added that the families of the detainees met with Majlis Speaker Mahdi Karrubi and that this is not incompatible with the first news.

The families discussed their problems regarding the high amount of bail and asked Karrubi to intervene in the case.

It is contradictory that on the one hand Mobasheri has denied the imminent release of the detainees, and on the other hand announced that the families of the detainees have conferred with the Majlis speaker about their problems raising bail. If they are not going be released, there is no need for any bail.

Moreover, besides the TEHRAN TIMES, other dailies have also reported the rumors of the imminent release of the religious nationalist detainees, but the Tehran Revolutionary Court has denied none of them.]
