TEHRAN -- A group of Korean tourists who are currently in Iran said that Iran enjoys a variety of historical, cultural and artistic tourist attractions.

Korean tourists, in an interview with IRNA in Jamshidieh Park on Sunday, emphasized that as a result of the Dialogue Among Civilizations initiative proposed by President Seyed Mohammad Khatami, the Korean people, particularly tourists and those interested in the culture and art of other nations, are more interested to visit Iran.

One of the Korean tourists said that Iran is a very beautiful country, and that if Iranian officials provided the world with more information about Iran's tourist attractions, more foreign tourists would visit Iran in the future.

Another Korean tourist emphasized that due to Iran's weakness in the field of information dissemination, many of the world's tourists, including Koreans, are not aware of the potential of Iran and its tourist attractions have remained unknown to them.

He noted that before coming to Iran, he thought that Iran was a dry country covered by deserts, but now he has found that Iran is a country with four seasons and with rich natural resources.

Referring to the low cost of site-seeing in Iran, he said that this is an advantage which attracts tourists to this country.

Meanwhile, a Korean woman from the tourist group said that Iran is a safe country for foreign tourists, adding that in addition to the sense of security, the hospitality of Iranians has encouraged them to visit Iran again.)
