DHAKA -- At least ten people were killed and 18 other injured Monday as a bus carrying a bridal party slipped from a highway trying to overtake a truck in northern Bangladesh, police said as quoted by DPA. The accident occurred near the commercial town of Bogra 340 kms north of the capital Dhaka. The bride and the groom escaped the crash as they were reportedly traveling in a separate vehicle. The bus was returning from a marriage ceremony when it went out of control and plunged into a dry irrigation canal breaking into pieces as it rolled down, survivors said.
