TEHRAN The Zionist regime has been caught in its own lies again, as its latest anti-Iran propaganda has been proven to be totally untrue.

The Western media, quoting Zionist sources, had claimed that a senior member of the IRGC, Khodayar Mehrabi, entered Israel through the Fatima crossing in Southern Lebanon and sought political asylum.

But now, in contradiction to what they had earlier claimed, the Zionists say that Mr. Mehrabi's remarks are baseless and totally untrue. The Zionist officials had accused Iran of sending troops and arms to Southern Lebanon.

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Beirut denied the Israeli claims, pointing to the fact that Israel usually uses such claims to justify its own military movements in the region.

An Iranian official said that this is a futile attempt to create anti-Iran propaganda.

Mehrabi's reported age proves that he was not a senior member of the IRGC. Furthermore, he could have not entered Israel through the Fatima crossing in the Southern Lebanon because it is closed.

Radio Liberty's correspondent in Tel Aviv said that Khodayar Mehrabi would probably be sent back to Lebanon.

Meanwhile, informed Israeli sources say that Mehrabi's remarks are untrue.

Several high-ranking Israeli military officials have strongly denied the presence of Fajr-5 missiles in Southern Lebanon and said they do not believe Mehrabi's story.
