TEHRAN Minister of Industries Eshaq Jahangiri said on Tuesday, "The industrial development of the country is an important and necessary matter.

"The industrial sector manages the needs of a country and officials should defend this sector with strong logic and scientific lectures at societies and meetings," Jahangiri said.

Pointing to the fact that all industrialists should be aware of their rights and adopt a strategy, he said, "The industrial sector which lacks innovation, research and development does not progress and the industrial sector should accept that it should follow scientific rules.

Jahangiri added that we should be effective and serious in this field and prepare ourselves to compete with other countries by developing Iran's industry.

"I hope that Qazvin Province, besides developing, carries the industrial load of the central part of the country, and that those who create jobs minimize the problems of the industrial sector," Jahangiri said.

The director of the Industries and Mines Organization of Qazvin Province, Ali-Asghar Hamze'i, has announced that 235 industrial units have come on stream in Qazvin Province during the last four years.
