Bodies of Two Missing Victims of Meshkin-Shahr Floods Found

TEHRAN -- Following eight-day continuous search for those missing in recent floods in Meshkin-Shahr in the northern province of Ardebil, rescue workers found the bodies of two victims of the floods on Saturday raising the toll to 32, announced the chief of Ardebil Natural Disasters Headquarters.
Behrouz Qorbani said the flood had carried the bodies of the victims a long distance from Moeel Village where they lived and had buried them under mud.
Qorbani said most of the 34 injured in the floods had been released from hospital and added that several of those still being hospitalized were feeling substantially good.
According to another report, a strong windstorm with a speed of 70 kilometers per hour ripped through Bojnourd in the northeastern province of Khorassan holding up traffic and blowing down trees on Saturday.
The storm, which lasted less than one hour, was accompanied by thunder, lightning and dust.
No definite account on the possible casualties and damages have yet been reported.
