U.S. Family Files Wrongful Death Suit Against Iran

TEHRAN The California-based family of a former Iranian prime minister assassinated in Paris in 1991 has filed a $165 million wrongful death lawsuit against the Iranian government, according to court papers made public on Tuesday.
The suit, filed in U.S. district court by Shahpour Bakhtiar's widow and children, names the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Information Ministry.
