TEHRAN -- Iran strongly condemned the assassination of two Palestinian activists on Monday.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Hamid Reza Assefi, expressed concern over the assassination of Palestinians by the Zionist army and stressed that Israel is an example of a terrorist state and that it is exploiting the current crisis in the region.

Ignoring the international community, the Zionist regime has intensified its savage and terrorist acts against the Palestinian people, he said.

Assefi also remarked that Zionist regime officials are directly responsible for the Israeli crimes and that the assassination of Palestinian activists is a violation of international laws and a crime against humanity.
