Golden Opportunity to Deal With Top-Priority Issues
Differences of opinion between branches of the government are quite natural in all democratic systems. However, it is important that legal solutions be sought to overcome these differences in order to avoid quarrels and tension in society. Indeed, the settlement of disputes over the imprisonment of the Hamedan Majlis representative once again pointed to the fact that the Islamic Republic Constitution, which has the support of the whole nation, is capable of providing legal solutions to all such issues.
With the peaceful and legal settlement of Loqmanian's case, the Legislature is now provided with the necessary peace of mind and a golden opportunity to deal with their top priority - to examine next year's budget bill - with the utmost care and free from any distractions and concerns.
Hopefully, the officials of all three branches of government are very familiar with both the priorities and sensitivities of the society, a fact highlighted by the request for Loqmanian's pardon made by the Judiciary chief in line with what the Majlis speaker and other MPs had hoped for. In other words, the officials are quite aware that wasting time and energy on trivial issues only creates further obstacles in the way of the country's development and solving the nation's problems.
