Eberharter Storms to Victory in Kitzbuehel Super-G

KITZBUEHEL, Austria - Austrian Stephan Eberharter won the Men's Super-G at Kitzbuehel on Friday to extend his huge lead in the overall World Cup standings.

The 32-year-old clocked a time of one minute 18.91 seconds, 0.41 seconds quicker than Italian Alessandro Fattori.

Switzerland's Didier Cuche was third, 0.87 seconds behind Eberharter, who won the season's only other Super-G race in Val d'Isere, France.

Eberharter, who will also start as favorite to win Saturday's blue-riband Hahnenkamm Downhill, moved up to 932 points in the overall World Cup standings, 272 points ahead of American Bode Miller, Reuter reported.
