Hajjarian's Resignation Rejected

TEHRAN -- Tehran City Council on Wednesday unanimously rejected the resignation of the council's vice-chairman Saeed Hajjarian.

Chairman of the council Mohammad Atrianfar said Hajjarian had submitted his resignation to the council saying he had to continue his medical treatment.

Also, a member of the council Ebrahim Asqarzadeh stressed the significance of Hajjarian's presence in the council from the political point of view, and said Hajjarian can even perform his duties at home.
