BERLIN -- Former German president Richard Von Weizsaecker here Friday sharply criticized U.S. President George W. Bush's axis of evil' categorization of Iran. "What's all this talk about axis of evil'?," Weizsaecker said at a German Foreign Ministry seminar on "dialogue of civilizations." He also commended Iran's role in helping to oust the Taleban regime from Afghanistan, IRNA reported. "Iran has participated in an active and helpful manner in the war against the Taleban," Weizsaecker added. The ex-chief executive praised Iranian President Mohammad Khatami for initiating the concept of dialogue among civilizations to the United Nations. "For this we owe President Khatami thanks and nothing else," Weizsaecker said.
