TEHRAN -- According to public polls released by the National Organization of the Youth, about 74-90 percent of Iranian youth have a positive viewpoint toward family.
The family is regarded highly and is a stabilizing factor for Iranian young people. The remaining 25 percent with a negative perception toward family have problems in their families, the polls showed.
The polls identified three age groups: 14-18, 19-24, and 25-30. Among these three groups, the first has the least attachment to family.
The poll further indicated that the young Iranian generation, whether male or female, feels no considerable discrimination in the way parents treat them. Moreover, about 41.4 percent of the young people studied find home boring.
