Intl. Arts and Islamic Handicrafts Congress to Be Held in Isfahan

TEHRAN - First International Arts and Islamic Handicrafts Congress will be held in Isfahan with the attendance of researchers, artists, and masters of Islamic culture and civilization from all over the world on October 4, and will run through till October 8.

According to the Public Relations Office of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization (ICCO), the present situation and the future landscape of Islamic art and culture will be discussed as well as displaying the handicrafts of Iran and the countries which will attend.

The Executive Secretary of the Congress Hojjatoleslam Aminian stated that the art universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran will cooperate in the congress and underlined that the congress will be held in the sections of lecture, presenting essays by the professors of Islamic countries, as well as displaying the handicraft of different countries.

He continued that on the whole the congress mainly aims to expand the cultural cooperation among the Islamic countries and display the values and beauties of Islamic art and culture.

The deputy minister of culture and Islamic guidance in artistic affairs and the organizations such as the Cultural Heritage Organization, Art Academy, Tehran and Isfahan Art Universities will cooperate in holding the congress, Aminian added.
