PARIS -- Thirty-five cases of tuberculosis have been identified in a Paris hostel for migrant workers, city medical services reported Saturday.
All were in the illness's initial stages and none were in serious condition, AFP quoted City Hall statement as saying.
Patients were being cared for medical teams with follow-up provided by city public assistance facilities.
Authorities would provide extra resources, including staff for additional screening facilities and follow-up care.
City Hall had also ordered a specialist department to make a study of the capital's 46 workers' hostels including their construction, operation and living conditions.
The study would provide the basis for future measures to rehabilitate the hostels, the statement said.
