129,000 Tons of Non-Oil Goods Exported From Khorramshahr

KHORRAMSHAHR, Khuzestan Prov. -- Some 129,000 tons of non-oil goods have been exported from Khorramshahr port city, southwestern Iran, over the past three months (March 21-June 21), head of Khorramshahr's Customs Office said.

Ya'qub Roshanaei told IRNA on Wednesday that the goods exported were valued at 47,300 billion rials.

"The exports in the said period showed a 225 percent boost in value compared to the same period the previous year," Roshanaei said.

Meanwhile, 85,000 tons of non-oil goods were imported to Khorramshahr over the same period. The imported goods were worth 510,570 billion rials. The goods imported had a total weight of 2.330 million tons, IRNA reported.

"The imports in the period showed a 390 percent rise in value compared to the figure for the correspondent period the previous year," said the official.

He added that some 53,440 tons of goods valued at 4.3 million dollars were exported via the city's border market over the said period.

Meanwhile, the total value of goods imported via the border market in the three month period stood at 11,615 million dollars.

The goods imported had a total weight of 9,000 tons.

Moreover, some 130 tons of non-oil goods were transited via Khorramshar port city over the same period, said the official, adding that the value of the transited goods amounted to 2.316 billion rials.
