Syrian state radio, which reflects the country's official stances, in a political commentary on Monday evening condemned the continued U.S. blind support for the Zionist regime and emphatically declared that Washington's peace claims are mere lies.

Dismissing the U.S. claim of "neutrality" on the Middle East peace process, the radio said U.S. ignorance on the explicit Israeli claims that the Zionist state was not withdrawing to the 1967 borders and the Palestinians' right to return to their homeland was proof of the White House's bias towards Israel.

The radio went on to say that the U.S. indifference to Arab security, which depends on the liberation of all the occupied lands and restoration of the Palestinians' rights, especially the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, is caused by a desire to promote only its interests and those of the Zionist state.
