Investment Prospects in Iran Positive: German Minister
Mueller told the *** Berliner Zeitung *** newspaper that Iran, like other oil-rich countries, is becoming increasingly involved in the development of other sectors.
Mueller said that since Iran intends to export basic chemical products other than crude oil and gas, it should establish the infrastructure necessary for such products.
Iran also plans to modernize its industrial infrastructure, the minister noted.
A tender has been offered for the establishment of 12 power plants in Iran and it is regrettable that Germany is not participating in such large projects, he said.
Mueller and the Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Tahmaseb Mazaheri, are scheduled to sign an investment guarantee contract between the two countries.
