TEHRAN -- Justice is the essence of the Alavi government (Islamic government based on Imam Ali's teachings and philosophy), thus all officials should be very sensitive about its implementation, said Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Seyed Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi on Monday.

Shahroudi, speaking at a meeting of high-ranking Judiciary officials, referred to the leader's recent guidelines on fighting corruption and said the Anti-Economic Corruption Special Judiciary Complex in Tehran and the Provincial Special Courts have already reviewed many cases and others are currently under review.

Shahroudi noted that much good work has been done in this respect and once cases are decided and verdicts handed down the people will be informed of the results.
