TEHRAN -- 40 billion Rials has been appropriated for the development of the tourism industry in Khorramabad, the capital of Lorestan province.

Of this sum, 25 Billion Rials will be spent on the construction of roads, and various water supply and electricity projects in the region and another 700 million Rials will be spent to attract private investors.

Lorestan is largely known to tourists and in order to put the region on tourists' map Internet centers, travel agencies, residential complexes, gyms, and recreation centers are planned in twenty different sites throughout the region.
